BlackBerry Storm 2: What’s New?

Research in Motion pulled off a daring stunt when they released the first BlackBerry Storm. At the time, BlackBerry Storm was considered a revolution on its own due to the use of SurePress technology developed by RIM. It was supposed to bridge the gap between BlackBerry users – who love to have QWERTY keypad to help them type – with the new age of touchscreen-based mobile phones. The BlackBerry Storm was a success – although it was not as successful as other touchscreen-based phones – and RIM now released the new and improved version of it: BlackBerry Storm 2.

Storm 2, also known as BlackBerry Odin, offers a refined version of RIM’s SurePress technology. The screen is now a lot more responsive compared to the first Storm, offering easy access to features offered by this handset. Not only that, you will also find the improved SurePress a lot more accurate, especially with several improvements in user interface ensuring comfort when typing using the on-screen keyboard.

Since this is indeed a BlackBerry handset, you can expect to see superb internet performance and connectivity options. Logging in to your favorite messenger services including Windows Live, Google Talk, and Yahoo Messenger will be as easy as 1-2-3 with push notifications and great internet performance. You will also be able to enjoy RIM’s signature BlackBerry Internet Service featuring push email and unrivaled compression technology; browsing your favorite sites will be completely hassle-free when done using the BlackBerry Storm 2. Interested already? If you are looking for a mobile device that will keep you connected at all times, this is the right handset to get for sure.
