With sophisticated mobile devices being released to the market by top manufacturers, it is relieving to see a basic handset every once in a while. Nokia has its “Classic” series that features basic phone features and several additional functions, while Sony Ericsson maintains the Walkman series to indulge multimedia lovers to the max. What we are going to look into in this article is the Sony Ericsson W715, a Walkman phone designed to offer tons of features through its simple form factor and user interface.

The Sony Ericsson W715 uses slide form factor, hiding the numerical keypad under the screen. The sleek stainless finish and sharp exterior design make this phone very interesting to hold. If you’ve seen the Sony Ericsson W705 before, the Sony Ericsson W715 is very similar to W705 in almost every way.

Equipped with the latest media player, you can expect excellent multimedia support from this phone. Playing different media files will not be a trouble at all with a W715 in your hand. Simply plug the handset, use the built-in stereo speaker, or connect your stereo Bluetooth headset and you will be able to enjoy top quality tunes or view video files right away.

A 3.2-megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom, LED flash, picture blogging and geo-tagging is also available. A secondary camera is placed just above the screen to enable video calls and conference. With 3G and HSDPA support, commencing video calls or conference with friends and family will be very easy to do.
