AT&T and Samsung are going to reveal a new touchscreen phone, named Solstice (SGH-A887), on 2 August. The Solstice is a compact touch phone with a easy-to-use, polished design and social networking features.

The Samsung Solstice packs a 3-inch touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera, support for dual-band 3G and quad-band GSM network, Bluetooth and built-in media player. The entry-level touchscreen phone supports microSD up to 16GB. It features Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and includes widgets for Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo! oneSearch.

Samsung Solstice will be available for $99.99 with a 2-year contact after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Samsung has officially announced the availability of its SGH-t349 phone via T-Mobile USA. This new messaging phone offers a 2.2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 resolution and 262K colors, a 1.3MP camera, a 20-key half-QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, an MP3 player, an auto-word completion, XT9 predictive text, email, and Stereo Bluetooth. In addition, the handset is also T-Mobile myFaves enabled and features instant messaging onboard, which includes Yahoo! Messenger, AIM and Windows Live Messenger.

T-Mobile unveiled the webConnect USB Laptop Stick, first-ever 3G networking adapter.The WebConnect USB laptop stick offers tri-band 3G connectivity (HSDPA/UMTS 1900/AWS/2100), and compatible with GPRS/EDGE networks. It can also double as a portable storage device with a microSD/SDHC expansion slot that can accept up to 8GB cards. The T-Mobile WebConnect USB Laptop Stick will be available in select T-Mobile retail stores and online starting March 25 for $49.99 with a two-year contract after rebate; $99.99 with one-year contract; or $249.99 with no contract.
